This privacy policy sets out how The Old Rectory uses and protects any information that you give when you use this website.

We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is respected and protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

 

What personal date we collect from you

The Old Rectory collects data to enable us to provide you with the best experience possible. Some of the data we collect is provided directly by you, for example when you sign up to our newsletter or make a booking

We also collect information about how you interact with our website and products. We get this information by recording interactions using technology like cookies.

We will only show you offers on the basis you have provided us with consent to do so.  Consent is typically provided via signing up to our newsletter and ticking the opt-in box on our check in form.  In some cases it may be provided by you to us either verbally over the telephone or in person.  Where your consent has been obtained verbally, we will provide confirmation to you of the consent you have provided to us in the form  of an email for your records.


Use of Data Processors

  • Queensborough Group – Queensborough groups support The Old Rectory in providing our Property Management System, Qbook.
  • Laton Technology – Laton Technology supports The Old Rectory by providing IT support.  Part of their role is also ensuring that appropriate security surrounds the servers where any data is stored, minimising any risk of a data breach.
  • Mailchimp – Mailchimp provides the software which enables The Old Rectory to carry out email marketing.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

 

How we use cookies

Controlling your personal information

How Do I opt out?

You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us. We will not make contact with you unless you have opted in. If then, you no longer want to receive direct marketing communications from us about the hotels and our favourite local areas, then you can change your preferences or completely unsubscribe in one of two ways:

  • Click the ‘unsubscribe’ at the bottom of marketing emails sent to you
  • Email info@theoldrectoryhastings and we will process your request within 7 days

We will not contact you for marketing purposes by email, phone or text message unless you have given your prior consent. We will not contact you for marketing purposes by post if you have indicated that you do not wish to be contacted.

The GDPR gives you various rights to the information we hold about you. Such rights can be exercised by you in accordance with the GDPR.  In line with the regulation, all reasonable requests will be free of charge and processed within the permitted time period.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.
